Cleanline 5/4 Hooded Chest Zip Wetsuit

I have preferred O'Neill Psycho Techs and they're awesome. As the seams broke down starting the season figured it was time for a new suit. In addition to surfing, I foil with a wing throughout the falls and winters in the Columbia. I prefer dedicated surf wetsuits but they don't hold up as well so wanted to try something new. Adam's review points out some issues that I'm ok with (thanks for the advice to fix them). This suit is really warm and fits really well in the torso and legs. I'm not seeing the wear and really happy so far. It's a little stiffer but feels good on the skin.

I am a small dude with little body fat and it’s been a struggle to stay warm out here in the PNW. I have been surfing for 30 years and this suit is hands down the warmest suit I have ever worn. It’s also way stretchier than my other 5/4 suits. I am stoked out of my mind over this suit. Thanks for talking me into this one Josh! Five stars all the way!

Got to wait at least wearing the suit 10 times at least, last one was with snow and east winds, to post this review. Your chances to fall in love more with surfing once you have it will increase! Comfortable and meticulous seal up by the inside make me surf longer and improve my over all sessions out there. Definitely a distance apart others wetsuits out there. Dried fast and is easy to put on and off. Feel like a no problem cold water adventure

I wanted to give this a higher rating, but in the spirit of honesty... First off, the suit is very warm, and you can feel the quality of the neoprene and stitching immediately. It's noticeably stiffer/less flexible than my O'Neill and Billabong suits, but I figured that would be the case with the Yamamoto neoprene. I wouldn't say it's too stiff to work well, just not as stretchy as I'm used to. Like all things, tradeoffs are unavoidable so not surprised. Bottom line, if you care about warmth more than anything else then this suit won't disappoint.

Where I think this suit falls short:
• the seal around the face doesn't fit well (at least for me). It feels like the forehead area is extra loose, regardless of how much you synch the toggle.
• the chin panel doesn't stay where it's supposed to and always gets stuck under my chin. I ended up just cutting this piece out.
• the suits are shipped while folded flat, which creates a seemingly irreversible crease in the bill. (you can see this in the product image above) After several days of playing around with straightening it out I just cut it out.
