CJ Nelson is a surfer and designer whose soul lives at the very heart of surfing where he learned to humble himself through the transitions of life using surfing as his guide. He caught his first wave at the age of 4, which later led to a professional surfing career, and was constantly surrounded by surf, skate, and film at home by his father and grandfather. His first days in design were spent in the factory with longboarding heroes Bob Pearson and later with Herbie Fletcher and Daryl Butsko. Fast forward to 20+ years later, and he's now preserving his favorite shapes and designs in hand-built surfboards utilizing Thunderbolt Technologies. This collaboration of surfboard design and construction means you get a more durable and responsive traditional longboard.
