Hydro Tech 2 Swim Fins

These are great fins for cold water swimming and bodyboarding! They are soft enough that the cold water doesn't make them stiff like other fins. Would highly recommend sizing them with a fin sock on if you are going to wearing them in cold water and make sure your toes are not pressing against the end.

I like these fins! I use them mostly for open ocean swimming. While they have great propulsion what I really like about them is they are comfortable! The anatomically correct shaped footbed helps them fit perfectly, the fin bed material is easy on your toes and the fins flex well so that I don't get leg cramps on a long distance swim. They are nimble in the water and stow away nicely in a back pack. My shoe size is a 12 wide and the X-large was correct size.

It's difficult to find fins that are pliable, easy on your calves, yet powerful. I love these fins.

I body surf in Maui, and after much looking found a little shop that had the Hydro Tech 2 swim fins. I quickly came to love them. The bigger the waves, the more I need them. I wear booties to keep them snug (I've never lost one to rough surf) and also to eliminate abrasions on the top of my feet from trapped sand.
One night I left my fins out on the lawn, and they swam off by themselves. Intent on replacing them with the same Hydro Tech 2 fins, I was dismayed to find the little shop was closed. Ordering on-line, I was happy to find Cleanline out of Seaside, Oregon. (I live in Oregon.) I mistakenly ordered the wrong size, and Cleanline made the exchange quick and easy.
Back in Maui now, I am still happy with the fins, and with the friendly folks at Cleanline.
