Another year, another wetsuit roundup, and this time we look back on the best selling wetsuits of 2020. This year, we saw a lot of welcome upgrades from the wetsuit companies, most notably on a few Billabong and Rip Curl suits. The old favorites still fill out much of this list, however, there are some newcomers like the reintroduced O’Neill Mutant, which after a few years absent from O'Neill's catalog, has come back stronger than ever. Now that the new year has passed, we’ve looked back and reviewed the numbers to find the most popular suits of 2020.

The Breakdown

What does it all mean? Well, for the sixth consecutive year, the 5.5mm O’Neill Psycho Tech holds it down as our most popular wetsuit. Super warm, freakishly flexible, and pretty darn comfortable, the Psycho Tech is good as it gets, performance-wise in wetsuits.

Looking at all the results, the Rip Curl Dawn Patrol and Quiksilver Syncro make up the large majority of the lists and that doesn’t really come as a huge surprise. Those suits are all relatively affordable but spec’d out at a higher quality than most other entry-level suits out there.

The most popular women’s suit overall was the Roxy Syncro Hooded Chest Zip for the third year in a row, which makes sense considering how good of a value it is, and the Youth 4/3mm Epic sold more than all the other youth wetsuit models combined. See ya next year!
