Dakine Daylight Thruster Day Surfboard Bag

The bag was way bigger than advertised dimensions. Additionally, the outline (particularly the tail half) doesn't resemble a typical "thruster", i.e shortboard, it is bulbous. Perhaps there is some manufacturing variability (poor quality control), however in my case, I ordered a 5’-8” x 22” bag and found it to actually measure 6’-0” x 26” (outside dims). Other design details weren’t quite there either, specifically the coil zipper is inferior to a molded type. To worsen it, there was no interior flap to protect the board rail from the zipper. Returned it a got a pro-lite, which fit like a bag built for a shortboard, and had much higher quality build, IMO.

Talked with a guy on the phone and he was super helpful in suggesting a board bag that would be good for the boards that I have. This bag in the 6'0 length fits my 6'1 board with an inch to spare. My shortboard has a very pulled-in nose and tail so there is a good amount of wiggle room but this bag is thick so I am not worried about picking up any dings. Super pleased with my purchase I prefer to use this bag over my $130 dollar bag from creatures.
