The Futures Fins Vector 3/2 Alpha is a Speed Generating fin, maximizing water attachment over multiple planing surfaces, resulting in lift and reduced drag. The concave surface and twist in the upper half provide a unique grip and projection sensation, delivering fluid speed generation in Smaller waves and powerful connection and increased speed in larger surf, resulting in faster and improved turns. Helps connect turns while generating and maintaining speed with a more predictable engaged feel.

Product Construction
Alpha
Made in California, the Alpha product line is now made by incorporating Bureo's NetPlus recycled fishing nets with Futures Fins compound 6 Carbon and Air infused technology. NetPlus Construction is sourced from Bureo's fishing net recycling program in Chile, which provides collection points to keep plastic fishing nets out of our oceans. Preventing harmful Construction from entering the ocean, their program protects wildlife and supports local fishing communities through financial incentives.
Additional Info
What is a Vector Foil?
It is a proprietary Futures foil with a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, increasing surface area, water attachment, and lift.
Symmetrical Foil
Symmetrical foiled fins move through the water evenly, simultaneously distributing the force and displacement of the water for predictable balance and control.
What is a 3/2?
3/2 complements the Vector with an extra 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees of toe, introducing a twist to the foil for improved planing angles in sharp turns, creating lift and hold deeper into the maneuver.
Benefits of the Scimitar Tip
Originally developed in 2006, The Scimitar Tip is flattened edge at the fin's trailing end, tightens the turn arc by reducing the template's length. This complements the 3/2 foil's lift and speed design, enhancing the feeling of release from turns while maximizing the foil properties throughout the fin's template.
The Futures Fins Alpha product line is molded carbon fiber made in Huntington Beach, California that delivers every bit of performance you’d expect from an upgrade fin at a Balanced Ride Number. Incredibly lightweight & resilient, Alpha is the first of its kind; created using one-of-a-kind materials and new technologies developed by Futures.
Compound 6
Carbon & Air Infused. Futures Fins developed a brand new material blend that is lighter than Honeycomb and the next step in innovation for Futures. Infused with the resiliency of carbon fiber and the lightness of air, this is the most advanced injection fin material ever created. Working with the talented team at 3M, Futures Fins was able to combine two key features that make their exclusive material so impressive.
Carbon Infused
Lightweight & Resilient. First, Futures Fins infused carbon fiber which has a higher strength to weight ratio than fiberglass. By replacing fiberglass with carbon fiber, the Alpha line is more lightweight & resilient than your standard fiberglass or plastic injection fins.
Air Infused
Lightweight & Strong. Second, Futures Fins infused air. Yes, air! With their friends at 3M, they were able to develop a one-of-a-kind composite material that creates air pockets in the fin to reduce weight without sacrificing structural integrity.
Precision Tooling
Steel Molds Made In-House. At Futures, they are professional mold makers. Have been since day one. Futures Fins designed, cut & polished molds for the Alpha line at the Futures Fins headquarters in Huntington Beach. This level of involvement with the Futures Fins product is what allows them to push beyond the boundaries of what’s expected from your surf equipment.
