Alpha fins are made with a special composite designed with the help of 3M. It's carbon and air infused, and it's super lightweight. Made in California, the Alpha product line is now made by incorporating Bureo's NetPlus recycled fishing nets with Futures Fins compound 6 Carbon and Air infused technology. NetPlus Construction is sourced from Bureo's fishing net recycling program in Chile, which provides collection points to keep plastic fishing nets out of our oceans. Preventing harmful Construction from entering the ocean, their program protects wildlife and supports local fishing communities through financial incentives. Futures Fins Alpha product line is molded carbon fiber made in Huntington Beach, California that delivers every bit of performance you'd expect from an upgrade fin at a Balanced Ride Number. Incredibly lightweight & resilient, Alpha is the first of its kind; created using one-of-a-kind Construction and new technologies developed by Futures Fins.

The Futures Fins Alpha Reverse 3/2 Twin + 1 is designed to surf a favorite twin board at full throttle. The “Reverse 3/2” refers to the twist in the foil, through the top third of the fin, that adds an additional 3 degrees of cant and 2 degrees less toe. The Reverse aspect is that the toe angle straightens only in the tip. This creates two separate foil surfaces, one at the base of the fin and one at the tip, that both feature Futures’ proprietary Vector foil. This unique foil keeps the fin engaged on rail, creating tons of drive, speed, and grip. Pedal to the metal!
Cant at the fin base is 4 degrees, transitioning to 7 degrees at the tip = looser. Toe at the fin base is in respect to the box placement, transitioning to 2 degrees less at the tip = tight, engaged. Vector Foil = Speed Generating and locked-in feel. Scimitar Tip = Enhanced pivot and release.
Made in Huntington Beach, the Alpha construction combines Bureo’s NetPlus recycled fishing nets with Futures’ Compound 6 (C6) carbon and air-infused technology.
What is a Vector Foil
It is a proprietary Futures foil with a concave surface on the inside of the front fins, increasing surface area, water attachment, and lift.
What is a 3/2 Reverse
3/2 Reverse complements the Vector foil with an extra 3 degrees of outward cant and 2 degrees less toe, creating a twist to the foil that keeps the fin engaged through turns.

The Vector Reverse 3/2 is a Speed Generating fin, maximizing water attachment over multiple planing surfaces, resulting in lift and hold. This unique foil keeps the fin engaged as progression occurs through turns, creating tons of speed upon turn exit.
Benefits of the Scimitar Tip
Originally developed in 2006, the Scimitar Tip is a flattened edge at the fin's trailing end, tightening the turn arc by reducing the template's length. This complements the Reverse 3/2 foil's lift and speed design, enhancing the feeling of release from turns while maximizing the foil properties throughout the fin's template.
